No matter how simple it has become to snap a photo and with your digital camera and ‘print’ right to the web, an artist like Kyle Lambert proves there is still and will always be a fascination with how a face is rendered painstakingly by the hand of a master, and to make things modern he has taken the form out of oil painting or graphite and made it digital to show that though the tools have changed the talent hasn’t.

(Weekly Theme: Space) OmeN2501 is the newest code name for an undying super solider currently entrenched in a future war on invading monsters and robots. In fact, he was born from the remaining dust and gas that went into the creation of planet earth. He laid dormant inside the earth until the birth of man, and since then has waged on many sides in many human wars, dedicated to restoring harmony and balance. His paintings reflect the fantastic stories of battle he has witnessed and those that have been passed down to him from men and women dying in his arms.

Ryohei Hase

There is a book in the Goosebumps series penned by R.L. Stein that Ryohei Hase and us at Creative Tempest must share a common love for, The Haunted Mask. It is a story of a gruesome Halloween mask that adheres to the wearer’s face and becomes a living new visage. The subjects in Ryohei Hase’s most compelling works have similarly had their heads transformed into those of primal beasts. R.L. Stein’s books just barely managed to scare us as children, but Ryohei Hase’s powerful images unnerve us as adults.

Depending on your perceptions of the current state of the traditional painting in a technology obsessed popular culture of gadgets, Michael Kutsche is either simply a friend, healer, or necromancer of painting. Creative Tempest believes generally in extremes, and so to us Michael Kutsche as a necromancer of traditional painting. With magic and mathematical spells he speaks an incantation over the corpse of a blank canvas bringing it back to life by filling it with cinematic and surreal visions.

Creative Tempest is excited to bring you someone who is out of our current range of artists, Jason Seiler. We have a goal to bring you great, inspiring art no matter what form it takes, so when we found Jason Seiler’s wonderful caricatures, we could not resist posting him. Jason is a very skilled artist who can render an extremely realistic portrait, but it is his exaggerated caricature work that somehow almost seems more real than reality. The distortions he brings to the faces of celebrities capture and bring to the forefront their most prominent features, and reinforce that the images of these people are truly larger than life.
